Burma Army Mortars and Airstrikes Kill a Karen Girl and an FBR Medic and Chase Over 500 People into the Jungle

Dooplaya District, Karen State, Burma

25 March 2022

On this day, Burma Army soldiers killed Naw Bleh Cho, a 17-year-old Karen girl, by mortaring her village of Hti Moo Hta in Dooplaya District, Karen State, Burma. Later in the same day, over 500 villagers fled Burma Army airstrikes in nearby Hti Ka Bler and Oo Grey Kee villages. The jet fighters made six bombing and strafing attacks against the villagers.

Also on the 25th, the Burma Army shot at and killed one of our FBR medics, Saw Aung Htoo. He was giving medical aid to the wounded. He leaves a wife and two children behind.

The Burma Army is increasing its attacks against civilians all over Karen State and in every area of Burma. Our teams are with these people giving medical care, food and praying and staying with them as the attacks continue. Thank you so much for praying for all of us. And we thank God that, in spite of these attacks, the people have not given up helping each other. We believe a new Burma is being built, with God’s help, by love and perseverance.

May God bless you all,

Dave, family and FBR
