Civilians Killed in Their Homes in Burma Army Attacks

The Burma Army is attacking people in their homes throughout Papun District, Karen State, and we are relaying details of these attacks as we receive them. Below are names and pictures of two villagers killed in separate attacks in the last several days.

On 2 April 2021, at 19:20, Burma Army MOC 8, LIB 408, shot three mortars into Ler Day Kaw Village in Butho Township, Mutraw District. One round impacted and killed 55-year-old Naw Mu Toh and wounded her husband, Saw Mya Aung, age 56. She leaves behind her husband and six children.

On 30 March 2021, Burma military aircraft dropped nine bombs in the area of Mae Kaw Law Village. Saw Pah Lo Poe, 76 yrs, was killed in one of these strikes.
