Celebrating Easter with Displaced Karen and Praising God Together

4 April 2021
Karen State, Burma

We celebrated Easter and Jesus’ resurrection with Karen Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in Burma and the joyful singing and praise to God reminded us of what  is eternally important. There are now over 20,000 newly displaced people in Karen State, from airstrikes and ground attacks, along with ongoing attacks and displacement in Kachin and Shan states and over 600 killed in the cities of Burma. In spite of this people have not given up; and on this Easter morning we stopped to remember who we serve, how much God loves us, and that Jesus is with us.

Thank you for praying with us and helping us help those in need here. We are in this with you and please know that we pray for you and that we know that the world and everyone face struggles too hard for us all but we believe that God is bigger than all our struggles and that God unites us in love, forgives us our sins and helps us to be part of His kingdom on earth, as it is in heaven.

FBR is open to people of different faiths and the Rangers are not all Christian: there are also Buddhists, animists, Muslims, atheists, and agnostics in FBR. But we are all united in love together. As followers of Jesus, my family and I, and all who believe in him, celebrate Easter together in Jesus’ name. In this new week, we are united with all the Rangers together in love to work for freedom, justice, and reconciliation.

Thank you for being in this with us.

God bless you Dave, family and the Free Burma Rangers.
