Help, Hope, And Love On Video in Burma

In 2025, the Free Burma Rangers (FBR) have been bringing help, hope, and love to people in Burma, both those fleeing from the Burma Army, and pro-democracy groups fighting for freedom against the Burma military. FBR has documented multiple missions on video to provide a look at what’s taking place, and used the videos in larger reports about these missions. Here are three we’ve used recently. Two of the videos below, taken four months apart, show the reality from the front lines in Moebye, a city that sits at a strategic crossroads between southern Shan State and northern Karenni State, and has been heavily attacked by the Burma Army for four years. The last video is a clip showing the love and joy that God continues to provide people in the midst of this war.

On February 5, 2025, our FBR team was involved in providing medical support, setting up a forward casualty collection point (CCP), and helping evacuate casualties during a battle in Moebye, in which pro-democracy forces sought to push the Burma Army from a church compound that they had taken over, forcing all the civilians in the area to flee. During the course of the battle, our Ranger, Benedict To, sacrificed his life when he was killed by a mortar strike while serving as a medic and carrying wounded casualties. This video takes you from the front lines as our team works under intense machine-gun and RPG fire to help rescue casualties, back to our CCP, and further back to our surgical unit, where we had a team of doctors operating on the injured. In June of 2025, our FBR team was again involved in providing medical support as the Burma Army attacked Moebye. FBR medics responded on the front lines with an armored vehicle to medically treat and transport patients. This is the only armored vehicle we have in Burma, and it’s been hit multiple times by mortar, rifle, and machine gun fire. Each time it’s been hit, the armor has protected the wounded and medics inside. This video showcases the importance of this vehicle in the process of transporting patients from the front lines. During the lulls of fighting in Karenni State in June of 2025, our FBR teams conducted Good Life Club (GLC) children’s programs through song, drama and dance. During this particular GLC, there was more than the usual laughter from the children. The women in the back of the room were also laughing so hard that they were wiping tears from their eyes. These laughing ladies were doing so with joy, while being refreshed from the many anxieties that can come with living in these war-ridden situations.
