Shan State, Burma
24 September, 2007
dashed line

(In response to the popular protest now occurring in Burma)

We, the Shan, Karen and Karenni Free Burma Ranger teams stand with our brothers and sisters of every ethnicity in Burma who are now calling for freedom, justice, and reconciliation. We believe that your aims are noble, your actions are justified, and we pray for wisdom, courage and for help to continue this movement. We are with you in this and will do our part in the field.

We are sending these photos from the Shan State where some of us are now on a humanitarian relief and training mission among the Shan, Pao and Palaung people.

We are grateful for the encouragement received from all over the world.

God bless you,

Shan, Karen, Karenni Free Burma Ranger relief teams.

The Free Burma Ranger’s (FBR) mission is to provide hope, help and love to internally displaced people inside Burma, regardless of ethnicity or religion. Using a network of indigenous field teams, FBR reports on human rights abuses, casualties and the humanitarian needs of people who are under the oppression of the Burma Army. FBR provides medical, spiritual and educational resources for IDP communities as they struggle to survive Burmese military attacks.
